A colourful Wagtail on a Grey day.

The Grey Wagtail is often thought to be a Yellow Wagtail because of it colourful plumage but it's Yellow relative is a summer visitor from West Africa. This cute little bird, searching for insects beside the Pells pond in Lewes yesterday, is generally difficult to get close to but as a young boy my grandad taught me how to... "To understand nature first you have to go back to being part of it" ...and last night a lovely Lewes lady, Hannah Velten, bounced that back to me when she told her audience on her podcast all about how mine and my grandad's words, thoughts and way of life had helped her and inspired her little boy.
