A sight for sore eyes...
With Easter in mind I thought you might like to see some of the eggs of British birds I have stumbled across over the years. Staring from top left they are; Oyster catcher, Song thrush, Reed bunting, Blackbird, Willow warbler, Chaffinch, Curlew, Ringed Plover, Heron.
If I may? A quote from my book 'Source to Sea'*
"Finding the first of the year's nest with eggs is a sign to me that spring is truly here. I cannot say what I feel when I look down on them, barely able to describe their subtle colours and patterns. A sight few folk ever see, a sight I almost feel that I shouldn't be seeing, a sight perhaps God keeps for himself
A sight for sore eyes after a long cold hard Winter."
