Patients at the Winterbourne 'Spa'

"They look OK from up here" said the man on the riverbank in Lewes yesterday. But take a look from my underwater camera and one of the culprits, an albino mink! bottom right is an injury from a Pike or Seal, bottom left is a river lamprey eating flesh and sucking blood. Top right a fish has weed growing out of it's gills and the fish below has a fungal growth on it's flank. The 'Spa' that is the cool spring water outlet of the Winterbourne stream heals all however, I have followed individual 'patience during their stay and photo top right is the evidence. A fish returned after healing a terrible wound last year and this year booked in again with a mushroom like fungus on its head!
